How to study with LET Training

NSW White Card Course

Face to face classroom based

We offer English and Chinese Classes

Class duration: 6.5 hours

Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive:

  • Statement of Attainment
  • Statement of Training (which allows starting work immediately)
  • General Construction Induction plastic card (which will be issued and posted by SafeWork NSW)

White Card State Recognition

White Cards issued by SafeWork NSW and WorkSafe WA are accepted in all states and territories in Australia.

Organisations and businesses may have internal policies which require that White Cards be obtained through specific training organisations, or by specific methods of training delivery. If in doubt, ask your prospective employer.

Read before you get started. The result is a nationally consistent approach to construction induction training given to workers across Australia. It will also mean that White Cards / CITCs from any Australian state or territory is recognised nationally.

Course Details

We are committed to seeing you through your course. We have determined the following requirements to ensure you have the best chance of successfully completing your course:

For NSW White Card Face-to-Face Classroom Mode: (No computer work involved)

  • Satisfy with Photo ID requirements stated by NSW SafeWork ID requirements; and
  • Provide your Unique Student Identifier Number (USI); and
  • Attend a one-day (6.5 hours) classroom learning; and
  • Successfully complete SafeWork NSW standard assessments (100% correct response)

For WA White Card Video Conference Class Learning Mode:

  • You are currently located in WA (residential address evidence in WA); and
  • Provide your Unique Student Identifier Number (USI); and
  • Have access to reliable internet and a camera-enabled device; and
  • Have a valid email account and telephone number for learning and support communication; and
  • Satisfy with Photo ID requirements stated by state government authorities; and
  • Successfully complete written and oral assessments (100% correct response).

Skills needed for study:

  • Language and literacy skills: you will need to possess effective language, communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to read and write a range of documentation.
  • Students with special needs are advised to email info@lettraining.com.au prior to booking so that reasonable adjustments to assessment can be contemplated.
  • Where a student has an identified need for assistance with language, literacy or numeracy, LET Training’s trainers and assessors will endeavour to provide this assistance.

The following unit of competency has National recognition under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Upon enrolment, you will be provided via the Learning Management System if you undertake the training from online or provide with a learner workbook if you undertake the course in the classroom with detailed assessment task specifications and activities. By way of example, you may be required to:

  • Answer a series of knowledge and skills-based questions; and
  • Participate in interactive assessment activities with your assessor./li>

You will be provided with opportunities to adjust and resubmit your assessments based on the assessor’s feedback.
